My First Blog- Analysis Paralysis

Hello and welcome to Rhoadie’s Place!
I’m Rhoadie, and I’m so excited to share my very first blog post with you. I enjoy journaling, dancing, and spending time in nature—especially soaking in the simple beauty it offers.

Since it’s the beginning of a new year, I want to kick things off by sharing one of my New Year’s resolutions: overcoming analysis paralysis.

Have you ever wanted to do something meaningful, go somewhere exciting, or accomplish a lifelong goal—only to find yourself stuck in neutral? That’s been my story more times than I’d like to admit.

You see, I’m a planner by nature. Even as a child, I would plan elaborate imaginary trips for my dolls, complete with shopping sprees at make-believe malls. But in real life, overplanning can become a trap. It’s easy to get caught up mapping out Plan A, B, C, and D until your mind feels cluttered, overwhelmed, and paralyzed by indecision.

There’s nothing wrong with thinking things through—but there has to be balance. Without it, we end up overthinking and under-acting.

So, for 2007, I’ve made a commitment: no more constant wondering, pondering, re-examining, and second-guessing every move. I want to examine things wisely—once—and then take action.

Here’s to a year of doing, not just dreaming.

Happy New Year, and may God bless you!
