History Has Been Made

History has been made, and the bar set for people of African American descent has been raised. Now that we have President-elect Barack Obama, a man of African descent, as the leader of our nation we have no excuses. We can no longer use the "race card" as a reason to say we have been held back. Black men must get off of the corners and into the classrooms. Black women must continue to be supportive of our men and their dreams as Michelle Obama was.
