Enemies in your own Household Pt3

Submission is a word that many people are allergic to. We as a culture, especially in the U.S., is used to being a dominant world power. It is ingrained in us, consciously and subconsciously, that we should always be in a position of power. However, Christ teaches us differently, in order to lead you must be a servant to the people. Just as Christ washed the disciples feet, we must be willing to serve one another. Being a submissive vessel does not mean that one is weak. It means that the person is humble, sensitive, and has the fear of God within them.

Often within households family member have "power struggles" with one another. The kids may be unruly, the husband may abuse the headship position he has, and the wife may feel that she can run the household best since she manages it closely. We must not fall into this trap of wanting to be in control, remain humble and willing to serve one another.
