Believing the Promises of God

There are often times in our spiritual life where we are praying for a situation and it appears that nothing is working.  We are living our lives in accordance to God's Word but breakthrough eludes us.  In times such as these we must remain steadfast in God.

Let's say that you and your spouse desire a child but pregnancy escapes your grasp.  You may try to rationalize your struggle and even conclude that it is not God's Will for you to become pregnant.  That is when you have to be strong in your Faith and stand on God's promises.  The Word states in Exodus 23: 25-26.  "Worship the Lord your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water.  I will take sickness from among you, and NONE will miscarry or be barren in your land.  I will give you a full life span."

Here, God clearly states that if you worship Him-praise, worship, prayer, study, and obedience to His Word, that no one among you shall suffer miscarriages and barrenness.  When you are in the Will of God, God will prosper you.  However, if you are operating outside of His Will you have to make lifestyle changes. Sometimes those are very drastic changes.  You may have to let go of some habits, people, and relationships that you are entangled by.

So when you are faced with a challenge, find a promise in God's Word pertaining to your situation and stand on it.  Do not become discourage when you do not see immediate results.  Remain steadfast.  This is how we become overcomers.
