One of the most important principles in life that the Bible speaks of is studying to show yourself approved. In Christiandom we often look to God to do things supernaturally that we should be doing in lives everyday. For example, we may have an exam coming up that we did not study for. We may start praying for God to recall information by His Spirit or that we will supernaturally past the test.
After school we may carry this practice into our adult lives. We may start asking God to grant us with favor to receive jobs that we are not skilled for, or we may start a business and ask Him to supernaturally send customers our way, instead of us learning marketing techniques.
I wouldn't want to visit a doctor who did not understand the class material and always prayed that God gave them supernatural insight to the answers of the test. Is God going to help us supernatural cheat on our test through the Holy Spirit? Is that how God operate?
