Purpose to Think Positive

I am learning that as Believers we must purpose in our hearts to think positively. Unfortunately, we live in a society that often focuses on the negative. Every time we turn on the news, something troubling seems to be happening. While waiting in the supermarket line, we are surrounded by countless magazines highlighting breakups, scandals, and disappointment.

It is easy to develop a mindset that focuses more on what could go wrong in our lives than on what could go right.

Ask God to help you focus on the positive things in your life. Our thoughts, words, time, and attention all carry influence. We can use them to give life to fear and discouragement, or we can use them to nourish faith, hope, and possibility.

Choose to sow your time, effort, and energy into the positive. Give your attention to the things you desire to see grow in your life.

“Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.”
—Galatians 6:7
