We all face rough patches in our lives from time to time. However, be encouraged and know that God is in full control. He is there to walk us through it.
Have you ever asked God to deliver you from a situation right away only for it to drag on longer? Have you ever felt that God didn't care, or just too busy for your problems? Or maybe your circumstances became so grim that you even began to question God's existence? The Word of God surprisingly speaks about this hopelessness in Proverbs 13:12, "hope deferred makes the heart sick". This means that God fully understands what discouragement can do to your well-being. He understand your feelings of willingness and despair. Lay them all on the altar when you come to seek Him in prayer. Be honest with God, because He is touched with the feelings of our infirmity.
We can rest assured that God promises to never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Hard times allow our patience to grow. It strengthen our Faith. It will also help us when the opportunity arises for us to encourage others going through a tough time.
