Quote from Smith Wigglesworth about Prayer

Recently, I was on twitter when I stumbled upon a quote by Smith Wigglesworth.  It read,  "I never pray for more than 15 minutes at a time, but I never go more than 15 minutes without praying".   This spoke volumes to me because I have heard leaders in the Body of Christ put emphasis on praying for one long duration of time, vs praying often throughout the day even if it is for a few minutes.

This does not mean that you have to literally look at your watch every 15 minutes so you can remember to pray.  It simply means prayer without ceasing as instructed in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, that we are to pray consistently throughout our day.

This means to have prayer at the forefront of our mind engaging in a back and forth mental conversation with the Lord.  Prayer can be a simple question of "What should I do?" when face with challenges throughout the day.  Or it can be thanking God for allowing you safe travels from home and work.  It is keeping our mind on Him and in return He promises to keep us in perfect peace because we trust in Him.  Isaiah 26:3
