When trying to accomplish your dream, one of the most important steps you will have to take is having the courage to step out of your comfort zone. Remaining in your comfort zone may be a "safe" option, but is it an effective one? Could it cause you to remain at a certain level in life, never reaching your full potential? Imagine if Abram would have stayed in his country among his father's people. Would we have even known who he is today? I doubt it seriously.
When we step out of our comfort zone it may seem scary initially. God told Abram to leave. Abram had no clue to where he was going because God never told him. God just said that he was taking Abram to the land that he will show him. Where is that? Who lives in "the land that you will show me"? Are the neighbors friendly or would they be a problem in the future? How far is this land? What impact will my move have on my father's household. These are all questions that Abram must have faced. He had to trust completely in God. He had to know that God has good plans for him, plans that will bring him to an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11).
So if you are feeling the nudge from the Holy Spirit to step out of your comfort zone than do so. God is calling you to a higher level in life where you will excel beyond your wildest dreams. Stretch your faith and let God take you where you would have never imagined.
