Recently, I was on IG when I came across an excellent quote on relationships from a Christian influencer. The quote gave great dating advice on how to talk to a crush and how to communicate your feelings.
I scrolled down to leave a comment when I saw that someone wrote "that's right sis, let the prophetic flow". I was taken aback by the comment because I did not see anything prophetic with the quote. It was just dating advice on how to deal with having a crush. This is not to take away from what was stated, but is God really giving prophetic words about crushes?
This caused me to wonder is prophecy a word that we throw around as the new "thing". Is it something popular to say when you want to validate something as spiritual? I will further delve into the topic of prophecy in the upcoming weeks.
