God uses dreams to reassure us
We have all heard of the dream Jacob had commonly referred to as "Jacob's ladder". Jacob was fleeing the wrath of his twin brother Esau. One night he had a dream where God reassured Jacob that He was with him by reaffirming the covenant He had made with his forefather's and how it will continue through Jacob's lineage. This gave Jacob boost of faith that he needed to continue his journey.
We also see this type of dream repeated in the life of Joseph where God shows him that he will be a great leader some day. Even though this dream was decades away from being manifest, we see how it greatly encouraged Joseph.
So the next time you have a dream, pay close attention to it. Write it down and look to see if there is a Divine message in there for you.
