Guilt is a feeling that many of us experience from time to time. It is a normal feeling and it is healthy when utilize the right way. When you do wrong, you are supposed to feel a certain level of remorse. You are suppose to reflect on your negative action with conviction.
However, have you ever been plagued with guilt from something you have already repented and asked forgiveness for? Are you being harassed by thoughts that you are unworthy? You may have had an abortion years ago and feel guilty every time you see a baby. Or you may have stood up for yourself and feel guilty for not "going with the flow". Guilty feelings can have your second guessing yourself, and God led actions. Guilty feelings can also may you feel unworthy and unloved. You can also be "guilt tripped" into unhealthy and abusive relationships and circumstances.
Know that when you ask for forgiveness you are forgiven once and for all. You do not have to repeatedly bag over and over for forgiveness or walk around feeling like you beneath others. Throw away guilt today. Tell yourself you are worthy, loved, and deserving. Repeat those thoughts to yourself.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8 KJV
