Cultivating a Healthy Thought Life

"as a man thinks in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7)

Our present quality of life is a result of the thoughts that we have been thinking up until this point.  This is why it is very important that we learn how to cultivate a healthy thought life.  Our thoughts are very powerful, "Change your thoughts and you change your world" Norman Vincent Peele.

Buried deep inside of our subconscious mind are thoughts that currently influences our behavior.  The Word states, "as a man thinks in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7).  If you notice that your quality of life is less than stellar, than know that you have the power to change that.

The first step of change is by knowing what God has to say about you in the Bible.   For example, if you feel defeated, remember that God calls us "more than conquerors" (Romans 8:37).  Repeat this scripture to yourself when you wake up in the morning and throughout the day.  Even look in the mirror and call yourself more than a conqueror.  Keep rehearsing it throughout the day until it is a part of you.  Also search the Bible for other scriptures to use as an affirmation.  Even write them down if you need to.

Once you do this you will notice your life start to change.  New doors of opportunity will open up for you.  God's Spirit will begin drawing people into your life to help you along the way.  You will feel better and your mood will be lighter.  Once you have mastered a healthy thought life you can teach others.  Let us get started today!
