The Process of Time, God, and Prayer

The Word often speaks of something occurring in the "Process of Time".  This refers to an indefinite passage of time where an individual has to wait for an answer to prayer to occur.  In Exodus 2:23 the Word state that in the process of time, the King of Egypt died and the Israelites cried out because of their enslavement.  Their cries reached the Heavens and God delivered them through His Prophet Moses.  However, it occurred in the "Process of Time" which expanded 400 years (Exodus 12:40).

We live in a Society of Convenience

I must admit, I often struggle with the process of time.  This is due to me being raised in a society of convenience.  Here in the U.S. we have the latest advanced technologies and knowledge is dispensed within seconds at the touch of a screen.  We have drive through fast food lines, online banking, and other conveniences that eliminate the need for "waiting".

However, with God I will say that many circumstances involve a process of time.  There is a space between when you pray and when your answer manifest.  That space can be 1 sec, 1 min, 1 hour, or 1 year.  It can even be 1 decade or 1 century.  However, we must keep the faith knowing that the answer will arrive at God's proper time.  We must persevere through the time challenge and not become discouraged.

Ecclesiastes 3:1  To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heaven.
