Dealing with Distractions: Disengage your Enemy

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace".  Colossians 3:15

Recently I had my first encounter with an "internet troll".  I am a positive person and when I am online I try my best to stay clear of them.  Well I was on a message board replying to someone's thread when this person (who already has a negative reputation on the board) had to respond to what I said.  I replied to her post in a positive way but she came back with venom.  At that moment I heard the Lord tell me to do not reply to her.  However, I wanted to prove that I was right and win the argument.  So we went back and forth engaging in senseless banter.

I finally stopped replying when she slipped up and wrote that she only replied to me to "stir things up".  So basically she was just bored.  After she wrote that,  I stopped replying.

However, my day was so off track that I did not get anything accomplished.  I realized that I had spent the whole morning arguing with that woman.  The morning is when I usually spend time with God in prayer, and reading my Bible.  I then realized that Satan did not want me to spend time with God but on the internet arguing about some foolishness.  So I decided from now on before I even hit the power button on my laptop that I am going to give that time of prayer, study, and seeking God's face to Him.

I tend not to drop many comments, however i did a few searching and wound up here
"Dealing with Distractions: Disengage your Enemy". And I do have a
couple of questions for you if it's allright.

Is it just me or does it give the impression like some of these comments
appear like coming from brain dead individuals? :
-P And, if you are writing on other online sites, I would like to follow anything new
you have to post. Would you make a list of every one
of all your community pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
